An accident left a 13-year-old killed after being struck by a vehicle on Friday afternoon. The girl, whose name was not yet released, was hit on Orr Street and died from serious injuries.
Police said that, at the time, the teen was standing in the middle of a crosswalk. The vehicle had a green light at the time and immediately stopped after hitting her. Speed and alcohol use were not factors in the crash. The crash is still being investigated.
