A 24-year-old boyfriend is expected to survive after his girlfriend struck him with a car. The Port St. Lucie police responded to the accident on West Dunbrooke Circle.
At the time of the accident, the man got out of the car and began walking down the street. The woman then dropped off their baby at the house and drove back to where the man was, hitting him with the vehicle. The vehicle had a huge dent in it when police arrived.
The man was identified as the female’s 24-year-old boyfriend. They live together. He was airlifted to the hospital with head trauma and had to have surgery on Wednesday afternoon. The impact was so intense that it caused the victim to thrash around and he was sent flying 35 yards down the street.
The woman left the scene after she struck her boyfriend. They are not sure why the incident happened, because the woman and boyfriend seemed to have a good relationship.
