There was an 8-month-old child injured in a hit-and-run crash that took place on Friday night in Holiday. Pasco County Fire Rescue responded to the incident. The pedestrian accident that left the child injured happened at Holiday Drive and Bonita Drive.
The father of the child was pushing a mother, who was holding the 6-month-old in a wheelchair when a car suddenly came along and struck them. The baby sailed through the air about 20 feet and landed in some weeds. The child was then flown to a local hospital where she has been listed in stable condition.
The mother and father both refused medical attention.
The driver fled the scene, but police were able to locate them. Unfortunately, the police struggled to get the person out of the home.
