The Florida Highway Patrol reported around 3:14 p.m. on Thursday that Martin and another car were both traveling northbound on County Road 235A when the incident took place. The other vehicle was stopped in traffic, which caused Martin to strike the back of the car.
Martin was taken to the hospital where he later died due to his injuries. The other driver involved in the accident was not injured.
At this time, FHP has determined that neither party was driving drunk at the time. At this time, however, there is an ongoing investigation.
