One person lost his life and another two were injured after a Bradenton intersection crash that took place today. The accident happened just after noon at Cortex Road in Bradenton and involved two vehicles.
Both drivers and a passenger were taken to the hospital. 86-year-old Arthur Owens was taken to the hospital but lost his life following the accident. He was a passenger in one of the vehicles, which was driven by his wife. The woman and the other driver were treated for their injuries and promptly interviewed by police.
It is believed that Owens’ wife was driving her Lincoln and attempted to make a U-turn. The light was green and she failed to yield to another vehicle. The two cars collided. At this time, police are not looking to charge anybody for the accident.
