Auburndale, FL - Sean Rhoden Killed in Three-Car Accident on K-Ville Avenue

Auburndale, FL (August 3, 2021) - A 33-year-old man from Lakeland died in a car accident in Auburndale on Monday night. The crash occurred around 9:00 p.m. on K-Ville Avenue near Rowell Street.
Police say that a 26-year-old was driving a Ford Explorer eastbound on K-Ville when, for unknown reasons, the driver crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu. The Malibu driver, Sean Rhodan, suffered critical injuries in the accident. Rhodan was taken to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Ford driver, who has not been identified, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A third car was hit by debris from the accident. The driver of that vehicle was not hurt.
The cause of the collision has not been identified at this time. There is no word on whether any charges are expected. No further details have been released.
