Troopers located the man who was responsible for a hit-and-run accident that left the pedestrian dead in Hudson. The accident took place on Saturday night on Bruin Drive.
At the time of the incident, 27-year-old Austin Payne was driving on Bruin Drive and failed to see the pedestrian walking along the roadway. He struck him and the 29-year-old pedestrian, Christopher Ryan, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Payne then left the scene and drove to his home on Echo Loop. Officers then found him and his vehicle. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Investigators are still determining what happened and charges are currently pending.
