Boynton Beach, FL (August 4, 2018) – A Delray Beach resident named Irwin Hutton was struck and killed in a serious pedestrian accident that took place on Thursday night. Police said that Hutton had exited his vehicle for an unknown reason.
According to initial reports, Hutton was standing on the driver’s side of his vehicle when a gray Ford Expedition struck him with the passenger side mirror, pushing him to the ground. The Ford then fled the area heading southbound.
The mirror was left on the ground, which is how police were able to determine that it likely belonged to a 2010 or older Expedition. Police are now searching for anyone who might know anything about the vehicle in question.
They are continuing to investigate the fatality.
