Each year, over 100 people will be killed in Florida bicycle accidents. Unfortunately, many bicycle accidents are likely to result in death or serious injury to those involved. Bicyclists should always take safety precautions including traveling in well-lighted areas, wearing reflective gear, stopping at all stoplights and stop signs and keeping a lookout for traffic. Drivers should always be aware of the presence of bicyclists on our streets and highways and should drive safely and defensively to reduce the risk of a tragic collision.
