Bradenton, FL (July 21, 2019) - A Good Samaritan was seriously hurt after being struck by a vehicle on US-301 in Bradenton. The crash took place on Saturday, July 20th, around 5:20 p.m.
According to reports, Yesenia Crespo, of Parrish, was driving a 2011 Honda Accord when she was involved in a crash with another vehicle. The Accord was disabled as a result of the crash. 32-year-old Nilsa Torres witnessed the crash and went to check on Crespo. As the two were talking in the roadway, a 2004 Dodge Ram, driven by Berk Alagoz, was traveling northbound on 301. The Ram struck the Accord and pushed the vehicle into Torres. Torres was thrown in the air and landed on a grassy shoulder.
Torres was taken by ambulance to Blake Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. The crash investigation remains ongoing at this time and there is no word on whether charges will be filed. Alcohol did not play a role in the collision.
We hope that the injured Good Samaritan injured in this case has a complete recovery.
