DeSoto County, FL - 61-Year-Old Woman Killed in Crash on SR 70
A woman is dead and another person is hurt following a two-vehicle crash in DeSoto County. The crash took place around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd. The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene shortly after the crash took place. According to troopers, the woman was traveling southbound on SR 70 when she came to a stop sign at the intersection with CR-661A. The woman proceeded into the intersection where her vehicle was struck by another vehicle that was driven by a 27-year-old man. The woman, who has not been identified, suffered critical injuries and was later pronounced dead as a result of the crash.
