Cape Coral, FL – Mother Arrested After DUI Crash with Her Baby in the Vehicle

Cape Coral, FL (September 28, 2018) – A 21-year-old mother was arrested on Wednesday night, September 26, after crashing her vehicle with her 3-month-old baby in the back seat. The young mother also had her boyfriend in the passenger seat at the time of the accident, which was not specified. The crash was reported to have taken place in the vicinity of Del Prado Boulevard, just south of Veterans Parkway.

According to the report released by police, the mother struck the car directly in front of her, subsequently forcing that vehicle to spin out. The impact from the collision also caused debris to strike a third vehicle, however, the first vehicle struck was reported to have suffered the most damage.

The erratic mother was placed into custody, upon which time she threatened to kill the arresting officer, according to a local news source. The mother who has been identified in the article as, Beal, is currently being charged with DUI over .15 with a passenger under 18, threatening a police officer, and DUI with property damage.

No further information has been made available concerning whether or not anyone in Beal’s vehicle or the other two vehicles involved suffered any injuries.
