A 60-year-old Trenton woman named Carol Wagner was seriously injured in a Gilchrist County accident that took place this morning.
At the time of the accident, Wagner was driving her 2003 Ford Explorer around 6:10 a.m. She had a 6-year-old passenger with her named Christopher Higgs. At the same time, 52-year-old Dwayne Herrington was driving his 2015 GMC Sierra.
Wagner failed to observe the Sierra approaching in her direction and made a U-turn. As a result, the Sierra, which was right behind her, struck the Ford’s front left and the accident occurred.
Wagner was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Higgs was not injured. Herrington suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Wagner received a citation.
