Yesterday, an accident left a child injured in South Florida when a car slammed into their home, leaving their house in shambles. The little boy was sleeping in the part of the home where the car entered, breaking down a wall and crashing through.
Both the child and the driver of the car were hospitalized for various injuries. Carlos Gallardo, the boy’s father, spoke to a news station to reveal what happened. He was horrified when he came into the room and found that his son was not moving when they first arrived by his side. They were alerted to the accident when they heard the sound of the vehicle crashing through the house where the 5-year-old slept. In fact, at first, they didn’t even know that the car came through the house and believed that it happened outside on the street until they found the vehicle inside the house and debris all the way back to the couch.
A minute after the accident, the boy started screaming and said that he couldn’t open his eyes. His father says that the child is “okay” now but is still at the hospital being monitored and treated.
The accident happened when two vehicles were driving down the street when another vehicle ran a stop sign and plowed the other one into the home. The fire department responded to the accident by placing braces on the side of the home to keep it from falling in.
