Citrus County, FL (November 19, 2019) - Two cars were involved in a crash in Citrus County on Tuesday, November 19th. The crash was reported near the intersection with State Road 200 and East Orchid Street around noon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, James Ruggiero was traveling southbound on SR 200. At the same time, Lawrence Derocher was traveling northbound on the same road. Derocher attempted to make a left turn. Ruggiero failed to observe Derocher's vehicle and the two vehicles collided with one another. Derocher was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Traffic in the area was slowed as a result of the crash.
The FHP is investigating. There is no additional information available at this time.
