Cocoa, FL (June 9, 2019) - A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on US-1 on Sunday, June 9th. The crash occurred just before 12:00 p.m., near the intersection with Rosa L. Jones Drive.
The Cocoa Police Department was on the scene around 12:20 p.m. Investigators reported that the crash involved the motorcycle and a vehicle. The motorcyclist died shortly after the crash. No details regarding the accident have been released and the name of the deceased victim is not known at this time. An investigation into the accident remains ongoing and there is no word on whether any others sustained injuries.
No further details have been released.

One person was killed and another was injured in a crash that took place in Zephyrhills on Tuesday, November 26th. The crash occurred on County Road 579 around 9:50 a.m. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene near State Road 56. According to reports, a Chevrolet pickup was traveling southbound on CR 579 when it came to the intersection of SR 56. The pickup attempted to turn left onto SR 56 at a flashing signal when it collided with a Hyundai that was traveling northbound. The pickup struck the left side of the Hyundai ass it was making the turn. Two women in the Hyundai were taken to the hospital. A passenger, 82-year-old Verla M.
