One person, 44-year-old Dana Ricouard, has been pronounced dead after a crash that shut down parts of Florida Boulevard in Livingston Parish on Wednesday. The investigation shows that Ricouard was headed westbound in her Volkswagen Beetle when she slowed to make a left turn. At that time, she was rear-ended by a Ford F-250.
The impact was forceful enough to push her vehicle across the center line, into the path of a 2006 Mach Truck. This resulted in a deadly head-on collision. Ricouard’s injuries were so severe that she died at the scene. Both drivers in the other trucks were not injured.
The investigation is still ongoing.
