Davie, FL (July 3, 2018) – One person was rushed to the hospital after an Interstate 595 rollover that blocked lanes of the highway. Davie Fire Rescue was called to the scene on the highway.
The accident took place just west of Pine Island Road on Monday afternoon. It was called in by a Miami-Dade officer in the area who noticed the scene driving through. As of 5 p.m., the crash scene was blocking two westbound lanes and there were heavy delays.
The overturned vehicle was taken from the scene on a flatbed truck. Crews came quickly to patch up gouges in the roadway due to the serious incident.
The driver was quickly transported to the hospital as a trauma alert. Motorists were told to seek different routes during that time.
