Davie, FL (August 3, 2018) – This morning on I-595, a school bus accident took place involving two transport buses and three vehicles. The accident took place in the eastbound lanes of the highway around the area of University Drive.
It was determined that there were students aboard both buses at the time. Davie Fire Rescue came to the scene and determined that 18 people were treated and transported to area hospitals, but none of them had sustained life-threatening injuries. 14 of these were children and four were adults.
A spokesperson for the company stated that the buses were being used that day for a church camp and the children were on their way to an activity when the crash occurred. The accident is still being investigated at this time.
