A Daytona Beach rollercoaster accident took place tonight that was never expected by any riders but ended in disaster for some. Two people were left with serious injuries and several of the riders on the rollercoaster were stranded tonight when the ride suddenly and unexpectedly malfunctioned. The accident took place on the Daytona Beach Boardwalk.
The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. when the beachside rollercoaster was sent flying off of the track. This caused two riders to become ejected and fall to the ground. Luckily, both of the riders who fell the long way were alert even though they sustained injuries.
More riders were stuck on the ride while technicians worked to fix it and get it back on its tracks. They had to stay where they were for the time being. Firefighters worked to extricate any riders who were trapped while technicians worked on the ride.
Many people think of vehicle accidents when they hear the word ‘accident,’ but as you can see, accidents can happen almost anywhere.
