Boating and other related accidents happen every day across the U.S. for a variety of reasons. You might have thought that you were safe from accidents if you weren’t utilizing the roadways, but this is not necessarily true. Boating accidents sometimes end in serious injuries and even take lives, so you might have a need for an attorney for these accidents, especially in Florida where they tend to occur most often.
56-year-old Delmer Melvin Garratt, a Florida man, died in a kayak accident that happened on a river after the kayak overturned. Around 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, a call came in to authorities about an unresponsive kayaker who had overturned where there were many rapids. There were difficulties reaching Garratt.
Garratt was from Lakeland. The incident is still being investigated.
