Deltona, FL (March 29, 2019) - The passenger in a vehicle involved in a Thursday head-on crash has died.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office has reported that 17-year-old Zachary Hollenback died on Friday, March 29th, at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. The crash initially occurred just before 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, on Saxon Boulevard near Urbana Avenue. Deputies say that a 1992 Honda Prelude, driven by 17-year-old Chester Tuck, collided head-on with a second vehicle. Tuck died at the crash scene and Hollenback was rushed to the hospital, while no one in the other car suffered significant injuries.
Officials are still investigating but, at this time, impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash. No additional information is available.
