This week, a Ruskin couple was both arrested when the woman, 25-year-old Diana Elizabeth Ruskin, chased her boyfriend into a Sheriff’s parking lot. Both were driving recklessly.
The report was first initiated when sheriff’s deputies heard two vehicles were driving recklessly in the Sun City area. A deputy watches as two trucks pulled into the sheriff’s parking lot at a high rate of speed. The man, 42-year-old Jose Guadalupe Rodriguez was screaming, “Help me, she is following me!”
Padilla jumped out of her vehicle and tried to get into his. Deputies then noticed that the trucks had damage because Padilla struck Rodriguez’ truck in the door when she was in pursuit. They claimed that Padilla became angry at him that morning because she thought he was sneaking behind her back with another woman. Rodriguez initially left the home to seek out police for protection. Along the way, his truck was rammed by his girlfriend.
Padilla was charged with one count of aggravated battery of a person using a deadly weapon, which is a felony. Rodriguez was charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
