A distracted driver survived a terrifying accident on Interstate 275 today in St. Pete. A red Camaro convertible smashed into pieces in the accident.
At the time of the accident, the driver was distracted by his radio. He looked up, only to drive through a guardrail on the highway. When he realized he was on the shoulder, he tried to correct it and couldn’t – completely driving off the road. Luckily, he was wearing his seatbelt and survived the crash with minor injuries.
His car fell about 50 feet and crashed to the ground. He said he saw the sky and thought he was going to be killed.
