A driver was seriously injured when his vehicle plunged off the Timberlane Road Ravine on Tuesday afternoon this week. The crash happened around 1 p.m. just west of the Gilchrist Elementary School.
The car traveled into the ravine on the south side of the road and then came to rest in the wooded area. The driver was taken to the hospital with injuries.

A crash involving injuries closed I-275 in Tampa on Monday morning. The crash took place near the intersection with Bearss Avenue. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old man from Lutz, FL was driving a car in the northbound lanes of I-275. Suddenly, and for unknown reasons, the driver traveled into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a truck that was carrying apple cider.
