At the time of the incident, 66-year-old Christopher Robert Spier was driving his Taurus under the influence when he suddenly struck 32-year-old Ernest Evans on his motorcycle. The motorcycle crashed and Evans received serious injuries.
Spier admitted to police that he consumed four 16-ounce beers before he was involved in the crash. His blood alcohol level was determined at the hospital and he was treated for minor injuries.
Evans was in serious condition after the accident. Evans also had a warrant for his arrest in a DUI manslaughter case. He would be extradited once he was discharged from the hospital.
