37-year-old Jason Sasser was killed on April 1 when he approached a red light at the intersection of State Road 453. Now electronic message boards have been added to the area to alert motorists due to the motorcycle accident that took the life of Jason Sasser.
The accident happened when a woman was driving her Ford SUV and failed to stop at a traffic light, hitting Sasser’s motorcycle from behind. This pushed him into the back of the vehicle in front of him.
The woman and Sasser were both taken to the hospital with injuries, but Sasser passed away due to his. The driver that his motorcycle ran into also suffered minor injuries.
Transportation officials agreed that the area, which is still an active construction site, could use warning signals. They installed temporary electronic message boards and are working on adding safety to the area.
