53-year-old Fernando Varela Hernandez died in a motorcycle accident when he was riding along and suddenly struck the rear-end of another vehicle in St. Augustine.
The Honda in front of him was stopped at a red light at the time. Hernandez didn’t notice the Honda and rear-ended it. Hernandez was then thrown from his motorcycle and onto a grassy shoulder nearby. He was sent to UF Health Jacksonville with serious injuries and later died.
