Flagler County, FL (December 11, 2018) - Two passengers in a minivan sustained injuries in a collision with a Jeep on State Road 100. The crash took place around 2:00 pm on Monday, December 10th.
According to the Flagler County Sheriff, a white Jeep was turning right out of Memorial Medical Parkway onto SR 100. The Jeep failed to make a proper turn and crossed into the eastbound lanes in the face of oncoming traffic. That is when the Jeep collided head-on with a Honda minivan carrying two people. The driver and passenger of the minivan suffered non-life-threatening leg injuries and were transported to Florida Hospital. A medical helicopter was on standby but later called off. The Jeep driver was uninjured.
The Palm Coast Fire Police also responded to the scene. There is no additional information available at this time.
A reportable accident takes place about every 92 seconds in Florida. Many crashes are especially dangerous and can lead to serious injuries or even death. In this case, it appears as though the driver of the Jeep was negligent by failing to make a proper turn, thus resulting in a head-on collision.
