In a Fort Lauderdale construction accident, a man’s foot was pinned under a crane, which collapsed. The accident took place on Thursday and severely injured the man. The man suffered two broken toes when the crane boom fell out of place.
At the time of the accident, the crane was not running. The worker actually knocked a pin from the boom, which caused it to fall. The worker was wearing required boots at the time, so all regulations were abided by. A fire rescue team worked to free the man from the crane by lifting it. The crane was broken.
The man was taken to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
