Fort Myers, FL - At Least One Hurt in Two-Car Crash on Terminal Access Road

Fort Myers, FL (April 22, 2021) - Police in Fort Myers responded to the scene of a car accident on Thursday, April 22nd. The crash happened on Terminal Access Road at the Southwest Florida International Airport.
According to police, two vehicles were involved in the collision. The accident caused the two lanes of Terminal Access Road to be shut down. Fire Rescue crews also responded and provided medical treatment. There is no word on the nature of the injuries at this time and no one involved in the crash has been identified.
No further details are available. An investigation is ongoing.

Alachua County, FL - Pedestrian Killed in Thursday Crash on US 441
A pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place on Thursday in Alachua County. The crash happened in the southbound lanes of U.S. 441. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Mitsubishi Mirage was traveling southbound on U.S. 441 when the driver struck a pedestrian near the Hitchock Market and Mi Apa restaurant. The roadway was slick at the time of the crash due to heavy rain. The pedestrian sustained critical injuries as a result of the accident and died at the scene.
