Fort Myers, FL (June 28, 2021) - A motorcyclist was hurt in a crash that took place in North Fort Myers on Sunday, June 27th. The accident happened at the intersection of Nalle Road and Bayshore Road.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene. According to reports, a motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Bayshore. At the same time, an SUV was traveling eastbound on Bayshore and attempting to make a left turn. As the SUV made its turn, the driver struck a motorcyclist, causing critical injuries. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment. There is no word on his condition at this time. No one involved in the crash has been identified.

The crash occurred along the northbound lanes of I-95 around 2:45 pm and delayed traffic around the Sheridan Street Exit. An 87-year-old man was struck by a vehicle and killed while trying to cross State Road 52 on Saturday, October 20th. Daniel William Troy, of Port Richey, tried to cross the road around 5:49 pm. While crossing, he was struck by a 2015 Ford Escape. The driver of the Escape has been identified as 25-year-old Christa Nicole Hood. Troy suffered critical injuries after being struck. He was transported to Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point where he later died from his injuries. Read more
