One driver was left with serious injuries when his vehicle collided with a garbage truck in Polk County this week. The accident happened on Saturday on State Road 60.
At the time of the accident, the garbage truck was traveling eastbound when a 2000 Honda Accord, driven by Gardy J. Narcisse, pulled out of a gas station and drove into its path. The tractor-trailer overturned, spilling trash all over the roadway.
Narcisse sustained serious injuries and was flown to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the garbage truck only sustained minor injuries.
