53-year-old George Hernandez assaulted his wife, 51-year-old Liliana Manante in a Babies R Us parking lot this past Tuesday. When police arrived, they found a pool of blood next to a car. The reason? The man said that his wife put a curse on him and cut her with a box cutter.
Witnesses say that he straddled his wife on the ground and she screamed for help. Manante was stabbed six times in the upper torso, neck, and head. However, she is expected to survive. In a taped interview, her husband stated multiple times that he intended to kill her. He was arrested at the scene and taken in on attempted murder charges.
