Workplace injuries are something that many people do not have to face. However, certain industries naturally pose a great risk of danger to their workers. In 2016, there were 309 work-related fatalities reported in Florida. Construction workers led the statistics, with 68 of those fatal injuries. By nature, construction work is extremely hazardous and carries a risk of death or severe injury.
There are many rules and safety regulations in the construction industry that are designed to keep workers safe. From procedures on how to operate equipment to specific rules on training, job sites are supposed to be made as safe as possible. Unfortunately, these rules are not always followed and workers may be put in a perilous position. At this point, we do not know how this accident occurred and further investigation must be completed.
