Hendry County, FL (September 9, 2019) - Officers have identified the victim in a fatal crash that took place in Hendry County on Saturday, July 7th. The crash happened on State Road 80.
According to police, 26-year-old Francesca Antwone was driving westbound on SR 80 when she came to a curve int he roadway. At the same time, a 32-year-old man from Clewiston was attempting to pass slower traffic in a 2005 Dodge Caravan. As Antoine came around the curve, she noticed the Caravan in her direct path of travel. Antwone attempted to swerve to avoid the crash but was unsuccessful. She died at the scene of the collision. The driver of the Caravan sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.

A Royal Palm Beach rollover occurred at an intersection on Friday morning. Fire Rescue showed up at the scene and claimed that the vehicle rolled over onto its roof. Two people sustained serious injuries and were taken to the hospital for immediate treatment. Read more
