Fatal pedestrian crashes occur about twice per day in Florida. Pedestrian accidents are routinely among the most serious and devastating crashes that occur on Florida's streets and highways. Many pedestrian accidents occur during the early morning or nighttime hours when visibility is at its lowest and pedestrians are at the most risk of being struck by motorists.
