Hernando County, FL (March 14, 2020) - The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene of an injury crash on Emerson Road in Hernando County. The crash was reported on Saturday, March 14th around 9:45 p.m. Troopers were on the scene just after 10:00 p.m.
The collision took place near the intersection with Cortez Boulevard. At least one person was injured in the accident but there is no word on the extent of the injuries. No details on the cause of the crash were released by authorities. A roadblock was set up at the scene as drivers were urged to find alternate routes of travel.
No additional information was immediately released.

Two people were killed when a small plane crashed into a parking lot in Pembroke Park on Saturday. The incident took place on Pembroke Park Road at the Pembroke Park Self Storage building. According to authorities, a twin-engine aero commander plane was involved in the crash. There were two people on board the plane at the time of the collision. Both occupants died as a result of the crash. At this time, there is no information on what may have caused the accident to occur.
