Approximately 400,000 car accidents take place annually in Florida. Of these crashes, around 100,000 will involve hit-and-run incidents. Drivers have a legal obligation to remain at the scene of a crash. Failing to do so can be a felony criminal offense and also subject the driver to civil responsibility for their actions.
