Florida experiences thousands of pedestrian crashes each year. Nearly three-quarters of all pedestrian accidents will result in some type of injuries being sustained by the pedestrian. Unfortunately, in many cases, the injuries are serious and require weeks and months of medical treatment. Pedestrian accidents are often preventable and drivers should always be alert for the presence of pedestrians on our roadways.
