This morning, a driver was traveling in the wrong direction in Flagler County and was killed in an Interstate 95 head-on collision. The fatal crash took place around 2:15 a.m. this morning near the Palm Coast Parkway.
A Chevy Cobalt was headed north in the wrong direction when it struck a Hyundai Tucson head-on. The driver of the cobalt was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Tucson was critically injured. He was taken to Halifax Hospital for treatment.
The names of the drivers have not yet been released.

A motorcyclist was hurt in a collision with a vehicle in the New Town area on Monday, June 17th. The crash was reported around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Beaver and Rushing Streets. Officers responded to the scene and discovered that a motorcycle had collided with an SUV. The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition. The motorcyclist has not been identified at this time. The driver of the SUV did not appear to be hurt and remained at the crash scene to cooperate with authorities. There is no word on how the accident took place. Read more
