When a loved one is killed in a brutal car accident, you might wonder where to turn. Any fatal accident can turn into a disaster for a family who is grieving and has to handle finances and emotional distress after they have lost a loved one. We want to help in your time of need.
Jack Henry Kaplan claimed that he was a passenger in an accident that took the life of his friend. The 22-year-old told police officers that he was intoxicated and couldn’t drive, so his best friend James Dupler took the wheel. Prosecutors now believe that Kaplan lied about being the passenger. Kaplan had called his father an hour before emergency responders came to the scene, which gave him enough time to switch positions in the vehicle and claim that he hadn’t been driving.
Kaplan has since been arrested and charged with failure to remain at the scene of an accident, reckless homicide, and more.
