A Jacksonville accident left several people with injuries on Monday evening, including children. Just before 9 p.m., an alert was sent out that said all southbound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard would be closed at Timuquana Road because of the accident. A witness on the scene saw children being taken to the ambulance.
The accident happened when a vehicle traveling southbound hit a vehicle waiting at a red light. The cars hit each other in a domino effect. Five cars were affected in total. Police suspect that it was a DUI-related situation.

A pedestrian was injured after she was hit by a vehicle in Boca Raton. The crash occurred on Monday, August 12th, around 8:09 p.m., at the intersection of Palmetto Park Road and Ponderosa Drive. Firefighters were the first to arrive on the scene and located the woman lying in the roadway. She was suffering from serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle at the location. The woman, who was not identified, was rushed to a local trauma center to undergo treatment. Her condition is not known at this time.
