A Florida man named Jeremiah Huggins lost his life the other day when he was attempting to move his family to Florida for a job change. An update tells us that the man shielded his daughter to save her life, and was killed in the accident. Huggins, a 39-year-old, was killed when he ran into a pair of semi-trucks who were stopped on I-10.
When the accident occurred, his wife witnessed it, as she was driving in a vehicle behind him. The family had fallen on some hard times and Jeremiah Huggins recently lost his job, so he had an interview lined up in Jacksonville, where he was planning to move his family at the time.
At the time of the accident, he swerved the vehicle in the crash and used his body to shield her. He was not speeding at the time, but two semi-trucks were sitting on the Interstate due to traffic and the trucks were not well-lit, according to his wife. On top of that, he was an experienced long-haul driver.
