Two men were seriously injured when their vehicle crossed into southbound lanes of I-75, directly in front of a semi-truck. The driver of the Camry that lost control was 21-year-old Joshua Berrio Eastman, with his passenger, 26-year-old Kelsey Hall. They were both taken to medical centers with serious injuries.
The driver of the semi-truck was identified as 62-year-old Anthony Leroy Drake. He was not injured.
The incident happened when Eastman’s vehicle suddenly veered from the left lane into the southbound lanes. The front of the Toyota struck the back tires of the semi, which caused the trailer attached to the semi to rotate.
The Toyota then came to a rest in the grassy shoulder. Troopers are still investigating the incident.
