Jupiter, FL (August 4, 2019) - A bicycle and motorcycle collided with each other during the Jupiter Medical Center Loggerhead Triathlon on Saturday, August 3rd.
According to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, the crash took place around 7:30 a.m. on State Road A1A, near Indiantown Road. The bicyclist, identified as Chris Diaz, was struck by the motorcycle as he was participating in the triathlon. Rescue workers treated Diaz for multiple injuries but he is expected to be okay. The motorcycle riders were not hurt in the crash. Jupiter police also responded to the incident.
There is no further information available.

Two pedestrians were hurt in a crash at a Jacksonville bus stop on Saturday, September 28th. The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. at a JTA bus stop near city hall. According to reports, a Chevrolet and a white truck collided with one another 1st Avenue North and 3rd Street North. Following the crash, the Chevrolet continued traveling, left the roadway, and struck two pedestrians waiting at the bus stop. Three occupants of the Chevrolet then fled the scene but were later apprehended by police. The two pedestrians were seriously hurt and taken to a local hospital by rescue workers. The crash caused the roadway to be closed until around 7:00 a.m. while police remained at the scene. Read more
