14-year-old Kayla Johnson has been working toward recovery after a traumatic brain injury and being put in a medically induced coma after a mudding accident. The accident happened when her father’s hitch pulled away and flew through the back of his truck, striking his daughter in the head.
Johnson had her skull repaired and needed immediate brain surgery. She was put into a coma for two months. She is still in recovery but has a long journey until she is fully recovered from the freak accident.
