Key West, FL (July 24, 2019) - A man from Key West was airlifted following a crash between his scooter and a vehicle on Tuesday, July 23rd. The accident took place around 6:30 p.m. on Duck Avenue, near South Roosevelt Boulevard.
According to police, 45-year-old Jorge Luis Guanche was riding his scooter on Duck Avenue when a vehicle violated his right-of-way and collided with the scooter. Guanche suffered serious injuries and was taken to a Miami hospital via medical helicopter. There is no information on the driver of the vehicle or whether there were additional injuries.
No further details have been released.
