LaBelle, FL (August 1, 2021) - A woman from North Miami was killed in a multiple car accident on SR 80 in LaBelle. The crash took place early Saturday morning, near Lexington Parkway.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. Troopers say that an SUV, a pickup truck, and another vehicle were involved in the accident. According to a report, a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on SR 80 while the SUV was also traveling eastbound. The front of the truck collided with the SUV, forcing both vehicles off the roadway and into a guardrail. The pickup trucked came to rest on top of the guardrail while the SUV ended up in the travel lanes of SR 80. The deceased victim was a passenger in the SUV. All other crash victims sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
