Lake County, FL (April 28, 2019) - A motorcyclist died in a crash on Sunday, April 28th. The crash took place in the afternoon hours on County Road 455 at its intersection with Cavallo Drive.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. The motorcycle and one vehicle were involved in the collision. Troopers pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. At this time, the victim has not been identified. No information was released on how the crash took place and it is unclear if anyone else was hurt.
CR 455 was blocked in both directions while troopers were at the scene and motorists were urged to find alternate routes.

Two people were killed and a third was critically injured in a crash that took place on I-75 in Marion County. The crash happened on Tuesday, January 29th around 8:30 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a van was traveling behind a truck and trailer when the van collided with pieces of rebar that were hanging from the back of the trailer. The rebar penetrated the windshield, dragging the van until it came to a stop. The front seat occupants of the van, a man and woman from Pennsylvania, both died in the accident. An 82-year-old passenger in the van was critically hurt. All three victims were wearing seat belts and neither of them have been identified at this time. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
